On Saturday 15 July 2000, the community of Neerim District gathered at the opening of their self-funded branch of the Bendigo Bank after almost 20 years since the last banking service closed their doors in the district.

Recently, on Thursday 17 July 2025 the founding members of the bank returned to where it all began to celebrate the legacy they helped build.

This year marks a significant milestone for Community Bank Neerim District, as it celebrates 25 years of service, growth, and commitment to the local community. Since opening its doors on 17 July 2000, the bank has remained steadfast in its mission to support the district, demonstrating that financial success and community wellbeing go hand in hand.

The Beth Delzoppo Scholarship provided by the Community Bank Neerim District provides an exciting opportunity for rural students to gain the financial support they need to further their education.

Nominations for the Bill Cumming Young Achiever Award are now open. The award is offered by the Community Bank Neerim District to empower young people facing challenging circumstances and provide them with resources to pursue their ambitions.

This year’s annual Community Bank Neerim District photography competition has once again brought together incredible talent from across the District. The 2024 theme "Australian Life" celebrated the beauty, diversity, and unique experiences of life in the Neerim District.

Community Bank Neerim District achieved an incredible milestone by winning three awards at the Bendigo Bank Financial Year 2024 Regional Victoria/Tasmania and  South West Gippsland Region Awards night held Thursday, 12 September.

Applications for the Neerim District Community Bank grants are now open. The grant offers a vital financial lifeline to local organisations, clubs, community groups and projects, fostering growth and development within the Neerim District community.

The Bill Cumming Young Achiever Award is for young people between 15 and 25 who live in the Neerim district. The annual award is named in honour of the late Bill Cumming and is presented in the spirit of Bill’s commitment to the Neerim community and his passion for encouraging young people to strive for excellence.

Congratulations to Jack Hamilton and Duncan Bain, the 2024 recipients of the Beth Delzoppo Scholarship. The scholarship, named after local legend Beth Delzoppo, recognises the important role education plays in shaping students’ futures.
