Neerim District Community Bank grants provide a boost for local community
Applications for the Neerim District Community Bank grants are now open. The grant offers a vital financial lifeline to local organisations, clubs, community groups and projects, fostering growth and development within the Neerim District community.
One of the key beneficiaries of these grants in the past has been Food Relief, a local charity dedicated to combating food insecurity. The support they have received from the community grants, has been instrumental in their operations.
"We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from the bank and the community grants. Their contributions have allowed us to expand our services and reach more families in need," said Judy Gleeson, Food Relief President. "It's heartening to see the community come together to support such a crucial cause."
The chair of the Neerim District Community Bank, Clive Patrickson, emphasised the broader benefits the grant brings to the community. "Community grants are not just financial aids; they are catalysts for positive change. They empower local organisations, enhance community services, and foster a spirit of collaboration and resilience. We’ve seen first-hand the incredible projects that have been brought to life through these funds."
Over the years, community grants have supported a diverse range of initiatives, from upgrading local community facilities to supporting schools and sporting organisations.
Local clubs, community groups and organisations are encouraged to prepare their applications and think creatively about how these funds can be used to support Neerim District. Together, we can continue to build a vibrant, supportive, and thriving community.
