Any community, sporting or not-for-profit organisation that either is located in or serves the Neerim District can apply for a grant or sponsorship. The Neerim District is defined as commencing at approximately Buln Buln through to Icy Creek.

In 2025, grant applications are open from 1 September - 30 October and sponsorship applications are open all year round.

The scholarship program aims to assist academically motivated students from Neerim District incl. Noojee, Jindivick, Buln Buln, Neerim South, Neerim East, Neerim North and Rokeby who have been offered a place at an Australian University, TAFE Institute or College. Eligible applicants need to be in their first year of tertiary study and are experiencing challenging circumstances.

Applications are currently closed and will open again on 1 November 2025.

The Bill Cumming Young Achiever Award is for young people between 15 and 25 who live in the Neerim district. The annual award is named in honour of the late Bill Cumming and is presented in the spirit of Bill’s commitment to the Neerim community and his passion for encouraging young people to strive for excellence.
