Creative brief

This year’s theme is Through local eyes. Capture your unique perspective of the people, places, and moments that define our district.

Anyone is welcome to enter the competition.

This year’s prizes:

First prize - sponsored by Community Bank Neerim District: $500

Second prize - sponsored by the Neerim District Progress Association : $200

People’s Choice Award - sponsored by IGA Neerim South: $250

A judging panel will determine the first and second prizes.

A total of 20 photos will be selected and displayed in the Community Bank Neerim District branch for the community to pick their favourite for the People’s Choice Award.

Submission guidelines:

• The photographer(s) must be the author(s) of the photographs submitted in their name.

• Entries must meet the technical requirements outlined below.

• Photographs can be submitted whether or not they have been published.

• Photographs taken at restricted events are not accepted (i.e. events where only photographers commissioned by those organising the event have access, for example photographers commissioned by governments, political parties or corporations).

• All entries must have accurate captions and descriptions.

• The competition is open from 1 July to 31 August 2026. Submissions made after the closing date will not be accepted.

Technical requirements:

• Photos to be submitted in LANDSCAPE format only.

• Upload photographs with the original pixel size (unless cropped). If they’re too large to upload you may either reduce the size or email them to stacey@ndfs.com.au.

• Must be uploaded in JPEG format.

• Include your name and a description of the photo with your submission.
